McColl Associates has gained vast expertise in all forms of new build and alteration work with over 20,000 commissions completed successfully to date.

Whether a small wall removal, a large extension or attic conversion we have unrivaled expertise in resolving in a simple and appropriate manner all structural engineering issues for commercial and domestic projects.

Our expertise doesn’t end with the smaller projects. We have been involved with many Architects in bespoke house designs and on numerous multi million pound developments with many of Scotland’s leading Architectural practices.

OUR SERVICE

The position as Scotland’s leading provider of SERs certificates is one we are proud of and has been achieved by providing an excellent service to Clients, Architectural Designers and Contractors. In today’s electronic society we can and do work with practices around the United Kingdom and have therefore been involved in projects all over the country.

Our simple philosophy is that no project however small or large will be turned away. We believe that we offer a competitive package with a flexible and friendly approach appropriate to the task.

Our purpose built office premises are situated in Leith and provide a smart, modern environment in an expanding commercial area of Edinburgh.

We have parking and meeting facilities and an excellent Engineering Library of both up to date publications and old text books used for refurbishment works.

HISTORY

McColl Associates was established in 1984 by Jim McColl, and continues to expand steadily. Jim retired in 2008 following a management buy out. McColl Associates is now headed by a Board of Directors continuing the work and service ethos that Jim established.

Every project now has the personal attention of at least one Director, who remain as working Engineers, supported by a team in the office to ensure that there is always a contact for your project available to be consulted.
